WALKING ALONGSIDE YOU ON YOUR HEALING JOURNEY

A Personal Note: I understand the courage it takes to seek support because I've walked this path myself. Through my own journey with complex trauma contributing to significant mental health concerns, I've learned that healing is possible—and that thriving is within reach. My healing came (and continues) through connecting with therapists, teachers, practices, and friends who helped me move my life forward. I bring both this lived experience, 25 + years of exploring Eastern embodiment practices, 10 + years of community support experience, and over 15 years of clinical expertise to our work together.

MY APPROACH: HOLISTIC, INTEGRATIVE, AND COLLABORATIVE

I believe true wellness extends far beyond managing symptoms. It's about nurturing the profound interconnectedness of your mind, body, emotions, and spirit. You are the expert in your own life—my role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where your innate wisdom can emerge and guide your healing. Every session is grounded in:

  • Compassion for where you are right now

  • Creativity in finding what works for you

  • Curiosity about your unique experience

  • Collaboration as equal partners

  • Empowerment to access your inner and outer resources

HOW I WORK

I draw from an integrative toolkit tailored to your unique needs, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Psychotherapy

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed Practices

  • Body-Based (Somatic) Practices

  • Mindfulness and Meditation

  • Self-Compassion Practices

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Psychotherapy

I recognize that lasting change happens when we work with more than just the conscious mind. By engaging both conscious and subconscious processes, we create deep, sustainable shifts in your wellbeing.

I humbly acknowledge that Lasting Wellness Therapy in Guelph, Ontario is located on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Haudenosaunee, the Attiwonderonk, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Guelph is also currently home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people. I am grateful to the many generations who have come before me, and acknowledge the often tragic history between settlers and First Nations people.. May the decisions we make, and the activities we pursue, be inclusive and mindful of the many generations yet to come, as we strive to walk together on a path of mutual respect and support.
