Ready to Move from Surviving to Thriving?

Discover what it feels like to come home to your Self.

You've accomplished so much. From the outside, your life looks successful—maybe even enviable. You've checked the boxes, reached the milestones, built the career or the family or the life you thought would bring fulfillment.

Yet inside, something feels off. Despite everything you've achieved, you can't shake the feeling that you're just going through the motions. The inner peace you've been searching for remains elusive.

You Might Be Experiencing Symptoms of:

  • Anxiety that shows up as racing thoughts, tension in your body, or constant worry

  • Depression that feels like numbness, exhaustion, or a loss of joy in things that once mattered

  • PTSD that may occur as re-experiencing past traumatic events

  • Addiction or compulsive behaviors—ways you've learned to cope that no longer serve you

  • Difficulty trusting yourself or others, even in what should be safe relationships

  • Perfectionism and self-criticism that drive you, but also exhaust you

  • Persistent overwhelm despite your ability to manage complex responsibilities

  • Emotional numbness or disconnection from yourself and what matters most

  • A sense that you're "too much" or "not enough" no matter what you do

  • Difficulty relaxing or feeling truly safe, even when there's no immediate threat

  • Physical concerns like tension, pain, or fatigue that don't seem to have a clear cause

These struggles often have roots in complex trauma — experiences that may have taught you early on that the world wasn't safe, that your needs didn't matter, or that you had to achieve or be perfect to be worthy of love. Complex trauma lives not just in our memories, but in our bodies and in the protective parts of ourselves that developed to help us survive. Childhood trauma can make us more susceptible to ongoing traumatic relationships and situations, and to developing PTSD later in life.

Hi, I'm Lisa, Your Partner in Embodied Awareness, Healing, and Transformation

Why Lasting Wellness Therapy?

Lasting Wellness Therapy offers a compassionate space for healing and reconnection that addresses complex trauma at its source. Founded by me, Lisa Clendening, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, the practice is rooted in the belief that wellness is a return to wholeness—integrating mind, body, emotions, and spirit.

Who do I serve?

I support individuals 18 and over online throughout Ontario, and in person in Guelph, ON, and surrounding areas. Online counselling is done on a secure Canadian video counselling platform (Owl) or by phone. I specialize in working with people who may be navigating complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, and other mental health concerns.

I humbly acknowledge that Lasting Wellness Therapy in Guelph, Ontario is located on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Haudenosaunee, the Attiwonderonk, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Guelph is also currently home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people. I am grateful to the many generations who have come before me, and acknowledge the often tragic history between settlers and First Nations people.. May the decisions we make, and the activities we pursue, be inclusive and mindful of the many generations yet to come, as we strive to walk together on a path of mutual respect and support.
