A Holistic Approach to Healing
I believe wellness extends far beyond simply managing symptoms—it's about nurturing the profound interconnectedness of mind, body, emotions, and spirit. As someone who has personally navigated significant mental health challenges and emerged thriving, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my work. I'm deeply committed to walking alongside you as you create meaningful healing, transformation, and lasting wellness in your life.
My Therapeutic Approach
Every interaction in our work together is grounded in compassion, creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and empowerment. I see you as the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where your innate wisdom can emerge. Depending on your unique needs and preferences, I draw from an integrative toolkit that includes:
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed Therapy
-
Body-Based (Somatic) Therapies
-
Mindfulness and Meditation
-
Self-Compassion practices
-
Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
I recognize that lasting change happens when we work with more than just the conscious mind. That's why I incorporate approaches that engage the subconscious, helping you create deep, sustainable shifts in your wellbeing.
Specialized Training & Expertise
I'm committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue advanced training in leading-edge integrative therapies. My specialized training includes extensive work in:
-
EMDR therapy
-
Complex trauma and PTSD treatment
-
Mental health and holistic wellbeing
Beyond traditional psychotherapy training in EMDR and CBT, I hold certifications as a Hatha Yoga teacher, a Kundalini Yoga teacher, and a Qigong instructor. Since 2007, I've been teaching these embodied practices, and I thoughtfully weave body-based wisdom into my individual therapy work when it serves your healing journey.
A Spiritual Perspective
As a spiritual seeker myself, I approach the mysterious dimensions of human experience—what some Eastern traditions call qi, chi, or kundalini—with openness and curiosity. I believe that questions themselves can be profoundly valuable, even when definitive answers remain elusive. I'm committed to meeting you exactly where you are. Together, we can explore whether connecting with your core Self, the natural world, the web of all beings, or the greater universe might support your healing. Your beliefs and comfort level always guide our work.
Experience That Matters
With over 10 years of experience in teaching and counselling across community settings, I bring substantial depth to our work together. My subsequent clinical practice spans more than 15 years of specialized treatment for:
-
Complex trauma
-
PTSD
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Addictions
-
Related mental health concerns
My Commitment to You
I'm honored to support you in discovering your path toward wholeness. Whether through talk therapy, somatic practices, or the integration of both, I'm here to help you access the healing resources that already exist within you.
I look forward to the possibility of working together on your journey towards lasting wellness.

I humbly acknowledge that Lasting Wellness Therapy in Guelph, Ontario is located on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Haudenosaunee, the Attiwonderonk, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Guelph is also currently home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people. I am grateful to the many generations who have come before me, and acknowledge the often tragic history between settlers and First Nations people. May the decisions we make, and the activities we pursue, be inclusive and mindful of the many generations yet to come, as we strive to walk together on a path of mutual respect and support.
